Karl Friedrich May novels and films have an enthused group of followers in Germany

The writer Karl Friedrich May belongs to the most famous German novelists of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He was born on 02/25/1842 and passed away on 03/30/1912. Above 200,000,000 pieces of Karl F. May’s stories were purchased world-wide. The best-known heroes of Karl Friedrich May’s volumes are Winnetou and Old Shatterhand. Mentionable is the actuality that Karl Friedrich May’s first travel to America occured not before the year 1908. This tour took him to the Niagra Falls, Buffalo and Albany, but not farther to the West. Consequently his famous novels are a product of creativity, imagination and factual sources as maps, travel accounts and guide books, as well as linguistic studies.
